"alright...we have to go...he doesn't even look interested...so we don't have to talk to him..."
so we start walking down the sidewalk... but the spirit had other plans haha so literally i stop and just swing myself around and start walking towards him without saying anything to sister Christensen....which i can only imagine just made her confused because she didn't see this guy!!......ANYWAY! llllooooonnnngggggggg story short! we give him a book of mormon and ask if we can come back...he says yes...and we come back and hes sitting with his girlfriend on his porch and we ask his girlfriend if she has heard of the book of mormon and she says..."I AM Mormon!"...................
that gap represents the far too long and extremely awkward pause on my part after she told us that....due to my lack of...oh i don't know.....KNOWING WHAT TO SAY! hahaha We were so taken back! but her name is amanda and she wants to come back to church! She has her records in a different ward and CHECK IT OUT.....where was she born??? MOUNTAIN HOME IDAHO! What? what are the odds?? anyway! It was cool....needless to say!...The Lord really has been blessing us with the little things! It has been frustrating not having people necessarily see a need for the restored Gospel! But the people here are so prepared! We will find those who want to know the truth! :)
anyway! The week was wonderous!
some funnies real quick:
due to my health needs i have had a gluten-free diet for about a year.....ANYWAY! I was making some banana pancakes which is an egg and a banana some cinnamon and nutmeg and boom! there it is! anyway! We got these Guinea Hen eggs from a less active woman in the ward! We help on her farm and give her a message and she gives us eggs! seems legit! anyway! I used a guinea hen egg for my banana pancakes and as I crack the egg....I find..........a fetus...so that was cool...extra protein?...seriously considering going vegan.........ok maybe not.
I love you all! I love this gospel I love how I see it make others feel! I love how it has enhanced my relationship with my sisters and my parents and my friends and my companions and strangers and trees and EVERYTHING!
