EARL WAS BAPTIZED!!!!!

holy cow what a WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a ton happened this week, but i would have to say that the coolest was earl being baptized!!!!!!! for those who dont know earl is a man that I found one day walking with sister palmer and I just felt the spirit prompt me to go and talk to him! Anyway! A few lessons after we invited him to be baptized and then found out he is not in our ward boundaries so the elders in another ward are now teaching him!!!!!!!!! it was just SO COOL to see this process from start to finish! To see someone having NO knowledge of the gospel to eventually following the example of Jesus Christ and being baptized!!!!!! SUCH a cool experience! and sister peterson, myself, sister quist and sister osburn sang at the baptism! Cool experience!
Something else great was the fact that we had WOMENS CONFERENCE! our investigator marie came!!!!! We watched it at the bishops house with his wife and like 20 other women from the ward! hhahah it was PACKED! it was fun though!!!!! Right before that we had a lesson with marie and invited her to be baptized!!!!!!!!!!! OCTOBER 17th BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) sister peterson is doing so well with her teaching! SO PROUD! yahooo!!!!!!!! hahaha

Anyway! I have no time but shout out to MY BIG SISTER KENNEDY WHO'S HAVING A BABY GIRL!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!!!!!! WWAAAHHHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Wise is an acronym....

and don't you forget it! hahahaha 8 women!!!! WAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! #allgirls #treveryouloveit

on a another bright note! something kinda funny yesterday!!!!!! So every morning we recite the standard of truth which is a quote by Joseph Smith and part of it says "The standard of truth has been erected! No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing! persecutions may rage mo bs may combine armies may assemble and calumny may defame..." hahaha and we were at a dinner appointment last night and i was helping cut some onions and BBOOOMMMMMMM sliced my finger!!!! It actually didn't hurt too bad but that sucker was bleeding! And I kept cutting because...well...i don't know....haha and sister Jepson said "Sister Wise! Stop! you have a good work ethic but you don't have to be go go go all the time! haha" (this woman is a senior missionary) and the first thing that came to my mind I just yelled "Hey! No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing!" hahahaha #missionaryjokes it was way funny!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha but anyway! My fingers okay! I get stitches tomorrow!! HAHAHA JOKES! hahaha but yeah! good times! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you for your love and support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are all awesome! Keep the faith! stay by the tree! Read the Book of Mormon! EVERYDAY EVERY DAY EVERYDAY!!!!! :) LLLOOOVVVVVVVEEEEE!!!!!!!

"Charlene you have to be baptized again!" -"Sister Wise! Did you put them up to this??" haha

Sis. Rachel Peterson, Sis. Ashton Wise, Charlene, Sis. Kimber Palmer, Sis. Ashley Green

Well holy cow!!!!!!!!  WHAT A WEEK! To be honest all of the weeks are just BLENDING in to each other!!! I can definitely say that it was a good week though!!!!! I love this work! There is a lot to look forward to in the Wisconsin Milwaukee mission!
I got to have an awesome interview with President Cutler and be taught by him! That is always a blessing!!!!! I also got to give a training in our district training meeting on Moroni on characteristics i admire about him and how we can become like him!!!!! OH! and I was asked to give a talk on wednesday and give it on sunday (yesterday) that was really awesome and fun to prepare!  I never thought i like public speaking! But i guess i do! i just love to teach!!! The Spirit is the teacher actually...so i just like to be the one who delivers it to the ears and the spirit delivers it to their hearts!!! but anywway! It was a good opportunity!
BUT OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHARLENE WAS BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT was such an amazing experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I helped her get into her jumpsuit and then i went outside to help her to her chair and then i saw her daughter!!! Jennifer is a member in Idaho and has been the only member since she was 18! Her mom didn't attend her baptism and hated the church!!!! It was a MIRACLE that charlene's heart was softened! She loves the book of mormon! I feel SO PRIVILEGED to have taught her! I really do love her! It was an experience i will never forget! I saw then that the purpose of baptism is much more than just to save a soul! It is to unite families! And as my mission president SO OFTEN says "eternal life is family life!" How true that is! It was also pretty cool to have ALL OF MY COMPANIONS there! My trainer and the two sisters that i trained!!!! SO COOL! We all taught charlene and all could be there to witness her baptism!!! What a blessing!

I know that this is the true church! Every time i teach and every time I bear my witness of the truth i feel my testimony lighting on FIRE! haha I feel like a light that can't be put out! I love this work! I love this message that I have to share I love the trust that God has put into me! I love my family! I love that They have the same burning testimony that I do!!!!!! I KNOW that Jesus is the Christ! I know that there is a prophet on the earth! And He was called of God! He does not call Himself! He does not run to be prophet! He does not get voted in! He is chosen from on high! I know it!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ENJOY THE PICTURES!

My sister sydney played her "curds" right and asked me to give her a shout out!...ssooo WHATS UP SYD!?!?

WELL HOLY COW! hello family and friends!!!!! oh my HEAVENS! What a busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy week!!!!!!!! wowza!!!

Well first on tuesday we had P-Day! We spent the day with Sister Soifua and Sister Osburn in downtown milwaukee! They took us to an AWESOME spy themed restaurant that is famous apparently (The safehouse...look it up! haha) but it was SO FUN! I love downtown Milwaukee! So fun! I would live here....kinda maybe.....ish.....hahaha

But then Wednesday was transfer day.......and HOLY COW I WAS SCARED! My last companion who I was training was being trasfered to Janesville, Wisconsin and I would be training another sister fresh out of the missionary training center! My new companions name is Rachel Peterson! and...she....is.....AMAZING! OH M GOSH HOLY HANNAH!!!!!!! She and I are so similar!!!!!!! Shes a little bit quieter! And a little more reserved but whatevs!!!!!!

OH MY! We both turn 20 in january!!!! We both like carrots and hummus! We both wear night-gowns to bed! AND GET THIS! WE BOTH DANCE!!!!! WHAAA????? hahaha she did ballroom and her team like went to nationals or something! But her dream is to dance for BYU-Idaho! So when i told her I danced for BYU-Idaho she just flipped out!!! HAHA It has been a blast! and I am so grateful that the Lord entrusted me with the opportunity to introduce His precious daughter into the mission field!
So this week!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!! WE SAW A HUGE MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a church Headquarter referral for a person named shelby down in waterford, WI! So we went thursday night to go contact her! WATERFORD IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (DAD! I FEEL LIKE YOU AND MOM SHOULD RETIRE THERE! ;)) and this woman named michelle answered the door and she let us in and told us shelby is her 13 year old daughter!

So i thought this was kinda a joke and she wasn't interested in the church! And so then i said "Shelby! We hear that you wanted to talk to us! Whats up??" and she and her sister and her mom all sat down and just told us the story!!!!!!!!

Here's the story: Michelle (the mother) was baptized into the church when she was 13 years old and the church lost track of her records. Her cousin is a member in Oklahoma! (where the wind comes sweepin down the planes) and she and her daughters went to go visit them and they went to church with them! Michelle told her cousin she was a member but never did anything else with the church! And so her cousin said "Its time you and your daughters knew the truth" and referred her to us!!!!! So here they are! We teach about prophets and TEMPLES! and then michelle says "Well can i like, be sealed to my daughters even if my husband doesn't want to??" and we said "FOR SURE! but your daughters have to be baptized!" and she said "well yeah i know...." and so I said "Well then you know these things are true right??? So will you follow the example of Christ and be baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority of God!?" and they said yes!!!!!!! It was like the people at the waters of Mormon who clapped their hands for joy and said that it was the desires of their hearts! THEY WERE SO EXCITED! They will be baptized on November 7th!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) #milwaukeemiracle

So something else that is WAY fun is  Sister Quist being here in Milwaukee in my same district! She replaced sister soifua! For those who don't know, Sister Quist and I went to college together and became super good friends and now we are serving with each other! We hung all hung out today for P-Day! The Lord has blessed me with people who will be friends the REST OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!

Ha....and funny story...kinda....hahaha so we have bikes and dang it before it snows we are riding the bikes! And we have no miles!!! haha so We had a dinner appointment in Muskego...and we live in Franklin....i thought the two cities were A LOT closer than they are! And so i tell sister peterson "pppsshhh yeah! Its an easy ride!"....and oh my....WHOEVER SAID WISCONSIN IS FLAT>>>>TELL THAT TO MY THIGHS! They were burning!!!! I have a burning testimony AND burning thighs!!! WWOOOOOHHH! that was a rough ride! hahahahahhaa it took much much much longer than expected! I really broke sister peterson in this week! Hahaha but the Raders gave us a ride home and stuck our bikes in the back of their pick up! SO NICE! hahaha #ridinginaskirt #skill

I feel so incredibly privileged to be a member of this church, to be a representative of this church, to be the first "mormon" many people meet, and to be a servant of the master!!! I have cherished the great and bad times I have experienced!!!!!! I LOVE these people!!!!!! I LOVE my companion! I love this work!!!!! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. CHARLENE PASSED HER BAPTISMAL INTERVIEW!!!!!! SEPTEMBER 19TH NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kenosha, Rejection, Oshkosh, Transfers, and the Emergency Room...oh and i'm training again...

you know you're in Wisconsin when there is a sombrero made of cheese....

Well hollllllyyyyyyyyyy cow!!!!!!!!!!! it has been THE CRAZIEST week of my mission and possibly my life thus far!!!!! hahaha so it all starts with:
Sunday: we had 4 investigators at church!!!! THIS IS GREAT! but giving each one of them the attention she deserves is hard! BUT we managed! It was a blessing for sure to see them all there!!!

Tuesday: Drove down to Kenosha (by Chicago) and had Zone training meeting! SO GOOD to see all of my friends down there!!!!! saw sister green (my trainer) and saw so many others i have come to know and love!

Wednesday: we just hit the pavement ("My dogs were barking" as my mother would say!!!! hahaha) we went and tracted and contacted some people the elders had found and told us to see!!! and OUCH! the weather may be nice right now but people are cold! hahaha they were not being very nice! BUT HEY they reject me they reject the Master! Nothin against me!!!! haha so that was rough but as i just laugh about it and have a good attitude i forget what i was even sad or upset about before!

Friday: we had new missionaries meeting with their trainers up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and that was great! LONGEST DRIVE EVER THOUGH! :) haha :) but the nigiht before we had some sisters coming from Racine, Wisconsin to stay with us and then we would all drive up together! We had a BALL! so fun to talk to those sisters! but even though it was a long drive it was really great to be trained by president cutler and sister cutler and the assistants! GOOD to see sister blas and quist too!

Saturday: we saw the Transfer board email (where they tell each missionary where they will be serving and what their new assignment is!) and so we looked at it and it turns out that my companion, Sister Palmer, will be serving down in janesville, Wisconsin and i will be staying here in Milwaukee training another new missionary! She flies in TODAY actually!!!!!! I'm nervous but excited for the assignment and calling to do this!
Sunday: So sunday at 4 in the morning sister palmer wakes me up and asks where some nausea medication is and so i show her and then i couldn't get back to bed so i ask whats wrong and she had spent the whole night wrenched with this stomach pain! So at 7 am i call the mission nurse and she tells me to take her to the EMERGENCY ROOM!?!?!?! WHAT???????? so we get in the car and the elders met us there and they gave a blessing! We were in the waiting room and they took her back there!!! so scary! Then an hour and half later i go back there with the elders and sister palmer is in a bed and a gown and looks awful!!! AAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! and so 6 hours later after a ct scan and alll that jazz they came to the conclusion that she has a kidney infection! YIKES! so...we missed church...but it was SOOOO COOL to see the elders offer a blessing of peace, comfort and healing! shes a champ! So i read the Book of Mormon to her and sang and talked to nurses and doctors! It was fun! ish...........

SO ANYWAY! As you can tell it has been a psycho week!!!!!!!! hahaha BUT through all of these things that come and go and change, My God does not come and go, nor does He change! Through all of this! He and His Son are the same yesterday, today and forever! I love them!I am so grateful to serve with Christ in this vineyard and i feel privleged to be His daughter placed here on earth! Awaiting the day i can see His face again!!!! a scripture i ALWAYS think about is in Doctrine and Covenants (sorry don't know the reference) "and again verily i say unto you that it is your privilege, and a promise i give unto you that have been ordained unto this ministry, that in as much as ye strip yourselves of Jealousies and fears and humble yourselves before me, for ye are not sufficiently humble, the veil shall be rent, and ye shall see me and know that I AM, not with the carnal neither natural mind, but with the spiritual."

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GODS SPEED! HURRAH FOR ISRAEL!!!!!!!

I Love Wisconsin! If I Play My CURDS Right, I Will MOO-ve Here After My Mission! And Mom and Dad:I'll LECHE Move In With Me!!! :)

AUGUST 31, 2015
p.s. thats sister soifua playing the uke!

p.s.s. thats sister askerlund and i doing our awesome "who face"

WOW....that was the CHEESIEST thing ever!!!! hahahhahahaha wow i am on a roll!!!! anyway!!! it has been an awesome week!!!!!!!!! I don't really have a TON to say that i don't always say! But something really cool that happened this week is that the new senior missionaries who will be working in the mission office (also are in our ward) just came on tuesday! And so we went in because they needed some help with stuff for zone trainings and we helped and met the new missionaries! Their names are Elder and Sister Jepson and they are just the SWEETEST PEOPLE EVER!!!! anyway! something cool is i was talking to elder jepson and he was asking me about college! And i told him my major and also told him that i was on the collegiate dancers!
AND SO he came up to me at church and said "HEY! We've got someone we want you to see!!!!! She owns a dance studio! We met her at the store and she really wants to meet you sister wise!" AND SO WE ARE GOING TO SEE HER TODAY AND TALK ABOUT THE GOSPEL!!!!!!! YAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Develop your talents kids!!!!!! so that was really cool! Just a mini miracle! Actually! no miracles are mini! SO IT WAS HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

So some elders in our district are really struggling with finding people to teach and so our whole district on Tuesday went and tracted in the elders area! That's like 12 missionaries!!!!! IN ONE AREA!!!!!! hahaha it was awesome!! The elders are now doin much better and teaching more!!!! but we also split up the companionships so i went with sister soifua and we WORKED! It was awesome!!!!!!! sister soifua is basically the coolest! She is from american-Samoa and is a FABULOUS MISSIONARY! It was really really really fun to be with her and to work hard!!!! anyway!! She and I just really click! And it was cool because we are both training to just talk about how the work is going with the both of us! ANYWAY!

We also had an AWESOME sunday school at church! We talked a lot about the Sabbath day and specifically SACRAMENT MEETING! It is so important! There are so many things that are revealed to us in the meeting! But just think of it, all of the things repented of in the week prior are cleaned away during the ordinance of the sacrament and we are enabled to do better the next week! WHAT A BLESSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also God speaks to His children during sacrament meeting! What a cool opportunity we have to go and dwell with other saints and commune with God!!!! It caused me to think of different sacrament meetings that i have attended in the past! And after i thought for a while! i remembered!!!!! I decided to go on a mission because of a prompting from the Holy Spirit that i received DURING SACRAMENT meeting! What would have happened? Had i not prepared myself for the sabbath??? I wouldn't be out here! thats what would have happened! ANYWAY!

This is the most incredible opportunity i have EVER HAD! A mission is just ONE BIG OPPORTUNITY TO REPENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! How grateful i am for this opportunity to change and better myself but most of all to help our Master, Jesus Christ, in His work to better others and bring them into the fold!!!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. funny story: so we were at the Rees home for dinner and it was getting late and so we were in a hurry to leave! So usually we don't walk on people's yards because it is rude! But i just said "Well we are in a hurry!" and so i book it across this yard!!! and what happens???? I BIIIIFFFFF It! like full on! BIIIIFFF IT! like face in the ground, cracked skull....okay maybe not! hahaha but i fell! and oh my we were dying! Sister palmer just dropped to the grass and laughed and i was laughing and rolling around! Turns out i tripped on a sprinkler head! THE ONLY ONE IN WISCONSIN! NO one has sprinklers here! hahaha but anyway! It was hilarious! Grass stains never looked so good!!! :) LOVE YOU ALL!
